Forget-Me-Not cafe September

We had a Elizabethan layer demonstration today our monthly Forget-me-not cafe by Knole house volunteer. She's showcased her wonderful dress layers on mannequins before explaining the various layers and why they were needed. It was fascinating to learn about the Elizabethan era lifestyle, and how important status' were portrayed through their clothing.
