Darent Valley Line Station Poster Launch 2022

We were delighted to host a poster launch in partnership with Darent Valley on the 28th March, exhibiting 6 artworks promoting the station areas along the Darent Valley Line.

The posters were designed by the wonderful Kit Boyd  who designed original artworks for the Darent Valley Line stations; Swanley Station, Eynsford Station, Shoreham Station, Otford Station, Bat & Ball Station, and Sevenoaks Station. The artist was commissioned last year 2021, where he spent 6 months exploring and absorbing the relevant areas; capturing details and speaking to local residents. From this, he created designs using traditional fine art techniques using linocut printing and two watercolour paintings. 

 Graphic designer Tim Higginson worked closely with Kit Boyd and Darent Valley Line Partnership to help produce the final prints, taking inspiration from travel posters in the 1920's and 30's. 

 Bat & Ball station is very excited for our visitors and community to see the new station poster!
