Planting at station entrance  close up of wild flowers

Due to the current situation many of you will not be able to travel to Bat & Ball Station to see the lovely display of flowering shrubs and grasses in the garden area at the entrance to the station, so we have posted an image for all to see.

The planting was undertaken last autumn with the assistance of a newly recruited group of garden volunteers.  The planting scheme was designed by Jo Jemmison Landscape Design, with some of the plants being funded by South Eastern, and the lavender plants supplied by The Hop Farm in Shoreham.

Sevenoaks Town Council would like to thank the volunteers who helped plant the area and keep it weeded, the Open Spaces team for watering and caretaker Derrick Rodgers who took the photograph.
