Mayor switches on Christmas lights
Published: 04 December 2019
A great evening was had by all at the very first Christmas lights switch-on event at Bat & Ball Station. The Mayor was helped by a group of school children to press the plunger outside the front of the station to switch on the beautiful lights which adorned the building. Everyone then gathered inside for a glass of mulled wine and mince pies and listened to a selection of Christmas songs and carols sung by Sevenoaks Primary School choir. Finally, families made wooden train decorations to hang on the Christmas tree positioned on the station platform.
It was a wonderful way to end the first year of the re-opening of Bat & Ball Station and we are looking forward to even more events next year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
