Councillors, members of the public and local supporters joined together to launch the new Darent Valley Community Rail Partnership on Sunday 1st September.  The event started at Swanley Station where Councillor Lesley Dyball gave a speech about the CRP and its aims.  The launch group then boarded a train from Swanley, complete with on board entertainment from a saxophonist and magician.  Further passengers joined the train at Eynsford, Shoreham and Otford stations before alighting at Bat & Ball Station for refreshments.  The morning finished with a ride in a vintage bus to Sevenoaks Station.

The aim of the CRP is to bring together 6 stations – Swanley, Eynsford, Shoreham, Otford, Bat & Ball and Sevenoaks - to promote local tourism, non-car transport and raise awareness of local heritage and culture under a distinctive brand.

More information about the CRP , upcoming events and ways to get involved will be posted here.
