At the Station, we want to open up our Station doors and bring Heritage and creativity in. Around six times a year we run events for our community, most are free but occasionally we do ask for a small charge (around £5). Our regular events are arts & crafts workshops, Father Christmas meet & greet, Heritage Open Day, All aboard Heritage talks, and much more. We have in the past run educational workshops, but due to lack of volunteers we haven’t been able to continue this at the moment.

At the events, volunteers can play a mixture of roles; meet & greet, craft assistant, set up/clear down of event space, or Heritage explainer. Although each event varies times, dates, and roles, we can let you know our events a month before and see if you can help us out.

By volunteering at Bat & Ball Station events, you can help bring our Station to life and help visitors learn about this Heritage landmark. Inspiring our visitors can be very rewarding, and you might learn something new too!
